Things To Know Prior to Signing Up

  1. This is a retreat for those affected by gambling harm. This is for people who are in recovery or seeking recovery. This includes family members or loved ones who have experienced harm due to gambling as well.
  2. You MUST stay for the entire weekend, Friday-5pm through Sunday-12pm. This is not a one-day retreat. Space is limited so we will reserve spots for people who commit to the entire weekend. This is Father’s Day weekend. The retreat will end with lunch served at 12pm on Sunday
  3. You will have your own room or shared room if you attend with a support person or as a couple. These rooms DO NOT have air conditioning, refrigerators, or televisions. The rooms do have ceiling fans. Bathrooms & showers are community. They are located in the hallways outside of your room.
  4. All meals are included (Friday Dinner–Saturday Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner–Sunday Breakfast/Lunch). Meals are provided by Wisdom House. These are buffet style meals. Dairy Free, Gluten Free, and Vegan options are available. CCPG will provide some snacks, and Wisdom House provides water & coffee. You may bring your own snacks or drinks. There is a shared refrigerator for our group that we have access to during the weekend. It is shared so please don’t plan on storing a 12pk of soda all weekend.
  5. There is a pool available daily from 8am-8pm. There is not a lifeguard so please do not swim alone. Time will be provided to enjoy the location. Weather plays a big role in our retreat. We plan some outdoor activities, but it is weather dependent.
  6. This is a substance-free & alcohol-free weekend. Please do not bring any alcohol. If you smoke or vape, there is one designated location for this located about 30 yards from our building. There is no smoking or vaping permitted outside of this location.
  7. You must be a Connecticut resident to attend.
  8. SIGN-UP: There is limited space available, you are signing up to express your interest in attending. Signing up today does not guarantee attendance. We do our best to include as many people as possible. After the sign-up period is completed, a CCPG member will reach out to confirm your interest and availability. You will receive confirmation of attendance via email after that conversation. Due to the limited spaces available, if you are not selected to attend, we encourage you to stay connected and reach out for resources or information.
